I personally paint 2 painting. One figure Saikano (Saishu heiki kanojo) and One ex-member of Berryz Koubou (maiha ishimura). But, I don’t paint maiha with realism technique.
This year I will try to bring up Japanese pop idol as the main theme. In short, I want to paint my favourite idol on the canvas. As the first step, I will not talk about Japanese music invasion in Indonesia, yet I will draw my favourite idol on canvas with everything I have.
I want to paint the woman I love as beautiful as I can, so people who see her will feel the same feeling with me as I see her.
Japanese idol group called Berryz Koubou, Morning Musume, C-ute would be my best object for my latest painting.

There was nothing new on 2008 as I continue my pursure in my favourite technique. I kept looking for the best visual object for my favourite technique. However, I tried to draw using landscape and sky as the objects of my painting. As a result I tend to prefer abstract technique as potrayed at the end of my artwork.

I use fundamental visual art theory which states about the function of art. E.B Feidman says, “Art has personal use which it existence put art as psychology or personal expression.
Why human beings can feel angry, sorrow, joy, passionate, empathy, love and even hate? Human can feel all those things listed above as they have personal drives inside their own heart. Emotions can be showed if there are outside stimulation which drives them out. The stimulation will form associations and responses. Reflection such as angry, hate, sorrow, empathy, passionate will comes out from those responses.
These individual experiences which keep happening can be expressed with art. Love, marriage, life, death, joy or sorrow can be potrayed through the work of art. These advantages usually being used as self expression in art, furthermore in modern art which it does not has collective characteristic.
Recently, I am interested in Japanese pop idol figure since there is an idol who I adore so much. I want to potrayed her figure on the canvas to satisfy my emotional need. When I draw her figure I feel she become more important and special for me since I also believe in the art theory of emotion and happiness. Jorge Augustín Nicolás Ruiz de Santayana (1863-1952) views art as beauty which brings joy. Art is viewed to stimulate people with sensation which comes from or can be associated with themselves.
I make a print of my reference on a piece of paper and mess it up with water until it fades away. Then I will paint my reference using realism technique.
I feel excited as I blurred the reference using water, I can not wait to see what it will become when the water dries up. This playful character makes me more comfortable when I produce my work of art. I am using this technique in order to see different visual effects since I do not like to use Adobe Photoshop to produce my work of art.
Method of Producing piece of art
1) I will choose the photos from my favorite girls’ photos.
2) Then from those photos, I will select the best for my reference.
3) I will print 20 to 25 pictures for each photo.
4) I will pour water on those pictures in order to create a new visual effect.
5) After I blurred those 25 pictures, I will select the pictures which have the best visual aesthetic value. My choice is based on balance theory and other theories.
6) The best picture will be transferred to the canvas by me.
7) I will paint this picture similarly to the original one by using photorealism technique in order to transfer my feeling to the public viewer.
I found my favourite technique this year. I was interested in using water -blurred artwork as a refrence for my artwork. Since then, I always look for the best visual to match this technique.

My concept of art derived from a saying:
“Destroying a work of art in order to make a new one”
I am using painting as my media to transfer my idea of art. Most of my visual ideas are transferred to the canvas by using oil paste since I am very interested in using oil paste on the canvas (oil on canvas). I believe there are great numbers of mysteries inside this technique. There are plenty of techniques which are invented on Renaissance period that I really want to know.
I decide not to try another media besides oil paste since I feel my skill in using oil paste on the canvas still in the beginner level. If I feel my skill in using oil paste is good enough, I would love to try another media such as acrylic paste. In this paper I only include my painting.
